This is a new & improved Microfibre. It is more absorbent per gram, is softer and more snugly, and is a nice bright white.
While the price per meter is higher than our old stock, this is due to the wider width of the rolls, the price per gram/meter is actually slightly cheaper. Our old stock was 126cm wide, this is 175cm wide 30% wider.
175cm wide
80% polyester and 20% polyamide.
Colour: White
Microfibre is lightweight, trim and highly absorbent.
It makes awesome pocket inserts, and because it is so lightweight it dries incredibly fast, even when you have several layers sewn together.
Our MicrofibreTerry Fabric is made in a way that means a smooth finish, designed to prevent it picking up lots of lint in the laundry, as microfibre is otherwise prone to do.
Because microfibre terry is so absorbent, it is not recommended to be used in direct contact with baby's bottom, as it is said to also absorb the skin's natural oils and so be TOO drying. For this reason it is ideal for inserting in a pocket nappy, or as a hidden layer in a fitted nappy, or simply with a microfleece/suedecloth liner on top.
If you have a heavy wetter, try microfibre & hemp as an ideal overnight combo - the microfiber works like a sponge to soak up fast, the hemp soaks up more slowly but locks moisture away. Together they're ideal for overnight or long car trips etc.
Care instructions: Does not need to be prewashed before sewing, will not shrink. Do not use fabric softener.
